2023 UK Parents Resource Fair

UK HR Work-Life is hosting a free parents and guardians resource fair from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30, in Ballroom C of the Gatton Student Center.  At this fair, UK employees will have an opportunity to connect with child-friendly resources for school-age children regarding:  Academic/mental health support   After school programs   Camps (fall, spring, summer, no school)   Extracurricular activities   Family support     

Central Kentucky Job Club Releases Fall 2023 Schedule

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Aug. 22, 2023) — The University of Kentucky Alumni Association, Fayette County Cooperative Extension Services and UK Human Resources STEPS Temporary Employment announce the fall 2023 Central Kentucky Job Club schedule. The free group is open to the public and is available both in-person and online. 

Elder Caregivers Support Group

2023 Outstanding Teaching Awards

Each year the university wishes to recognize our faculty and teaching assistants whose commitment to the furtherance of learning and leadership of our students goes above and beyond. Recipients were selected via nomination and reviewed by a selection committee based in the UK Provost’s Office for Faculty Advancement and the Center for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching. Each winner received an award certificate, a commemorative engraved gift and a cash award in recognition of their teaching excellence.

2023 WELD Kickoff - Guest Speaker

4:00 April 27 - Rosenberg College of Law Grand Courtroom   We are excited to begin our 2023 Women's Executive Leadership Development program! Following lunch with our 2023 Cohort Chancellor Donde Plowman of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville will be presenting a public lecture on the topic “Women Leaders – the Willingness to Act.”

TEK Faculty Fellows Call for Applications

Applications are due at 5:00 PM on Monday, April 24.   TEK (Transdisciplinary Educational Approaches to Advance Kentucky), the University of Kentucky's new Quality Enhancement Plan, and the Center for the Enhancement of Learning and Teaching are pleased to invite applications for the first cohort of TEK Faculty Fellows for the 2023-2024 academic year.  

Introverts as Leaders - Guest Speaker Event

Jeffrey Buller will be visiting campus April 4 to give a lecture on Introverts as Leaders in Higher Education at 3:30 in Woodward Hall in the Gatton College of Business & Economics. Open to all faculty, staff, and students.
