The Office for Faculty Advancement is operating a number of workshops to help support faculty promotion preparation and success. Register for sessions here. Seeking promotion and/or tenure is often a mystifying and intimidating process. The Office for Faculty Advancement has developed a series of workshops aimed to demystify and support faculty. Thoughts can be powerful and leading. I encourage you to pause and think about what you are thinking about. Approach this new year with intention and grace. Take it one day, week and month at a time.

Happy Fall! November is here and so are cooler mornings. It's that time of the year where we need to warm up our vehicles before we head out in the morning and grab a jacket before going outdoors to walk our dog in the evenings. Or is that just me?

Virtual Dementia Tour

UK HR Elder Care presents the Virtual Dementia Tour 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 28 UK College of Nursing 751 Rose Street | Fifth Floor Free parking at the UK Clinic Garage, 140 Huguelet Dr. Time slot request required. Please allow an hour to move through the entire simulation and come even if you are late.   

Directors of Undergraduate Studies Summit

The University of Kentucky’s Office for Faculty Advancement and Office for Academic Affairs are pleased to host the upcoming Directors of Undergraduate Studies (DUS) Summit on Friday, October 10, 2025. This event is designed for current Directors of Undergraduate Studies and Directors of Undergraduate Certificate Programs, but we also welcome faculty and staff who are interested in learning more about the resources and initiatives that support undergraduate education and student success.
