The Taiwan Fellowship, established by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Taiwan, is currently accepting applications for the 2026 program.

This fellowship comes after the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education (CPE) and Taiwan’s Department of International and Cross-strait Education announced a partnership in 2021. The motivation behind the partnership was to increase and promote educational and academic exchanges between Kentucky and Taiwan.

By sharing information, practices and resources, both groups aim to improve student success and enhance educational experiences. Such efforts include improving language teaching, training and recruiting teachers, organizing conferences and collaborating on education-related research.

The Taiwan Fellowship is seeking researchers interested in topics related to Taiwan, cross-strait relations, mainland China, Asia-Pacific studies, Sinology, Taiwan’s domestic and foreign policies, regional security, global supply chain resilience and economic integration.

Applications are due by June 30. More details, including guidelines and eligibility as well as application requirements, can be found on the Taiwan Fellowship website
