HR Work Life and Well-being: June 2026 Bulletin
As we head into the summer months, this is a great opportunity to encourage employees to take advantage of offerings that support balance, resilience, and overall well-being. Highlights this month include the Bluegrass Beats Step Challenge, new Becoming Wildly Resilient content focused on emotional burnout, and several learning opportunities on mindfulness, nutrition, and financial wellness.
The summer months can entice us to consider a different type of balance. We are balancing our brains telling us to relax and have some fun while trying to focus on work tasks and productivity. For some of us, summer is a time of reflection and reset. No matter how you spend your summer months, this short podcast on intellectual humility has something to teach you. Humble on Purpose: A Practice for Better Decisions offers examples, statements and exercises that can help us engage, connect and make better decisions in our work and life.
Remember we offer year-round consultations and referrals to UK employees and retirees. During the summer months we offer less programming, so that we can focus on planning for the 2026-27 fiscal year.
As always, you can visit our website calendar for a full list of upcoming workshops and events website calendar. Visit the Work-Life and Well-being services website for details about resources and services to support UK faculty, staff and retirees.
