The University of Kentucky’s Office for Faculty Advancement and Office for Academic Affairs are pleased to host the upcoming Directors of Undergraduate Studies (DUS) Summit on Friday, October 10, 2025.

This event is designed for current Directors of Undergraduate Studies and Directors of Undergraduate Certificate Programs, but we also welcome faculty and staff who are interested in learning more about the resources and initiatives that support undergraduate education and student success.

Participants can look forward to a series of engaging sessions focused on enhancing the undergraduate experience, supporting academic leadership, and fostering collaboration across programs (see the agenda below).

  • What makes a successful DUS
  • Dealing with complex student issues (financial challenges, mental health, etc.)
  • Working with faculty/colleagues
  • Setting up a transition plan (moving from one DUS to the next)
  • Developing a program’s student learning outcomes
